TALAVOU O LE MOANA: THE HEALTH AND WELLBEING OF PACIFIC SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS IN AOTEAROA NEW ZEALAND

I’m honoured to have helped make this analysis of health and wellbeing data from Pacific young people in Youth19 happen. This is a comprehensive report, designed to be useful for communities and decision makers. It was instigated by Brooke Kuresa and Tatyana King-Finau and led by Dr Analosa Veukiso-Ulugia. The report highlights many areas of strength for Pacific young people, incuding strong family relationships, contributions to communities and major health gains over the last two decades. However it also highlights continued inequities, for example in health care access, and, increasing needs in mental health. We hope that this work can be useful for informing service plans and delivery.
